Sable Atlas
A cartographic identity for a company mapping seabed minerals, built on survey marks rather than a logo.

Sable surveys the seabed for the minerals that end up in batteries. Their existing identity was a generic blue globe, which told you nothing about a company whose entire value is precision at four thousand metres.
Mapping what nobody has seen
We built the identity from their own survey marks — the crosses and depth notations that appear on every chart their team produces. The result reads as instrumentation rather than branding.
A palette taken from bathymetry
Chart colours are not decorative; they encode depth. We kept that logic, so the greens and greys correspond to real depth bands and the brand gets more saturated the deeper the survey goes.
